SafeWNY was founded in 2006 by members of the Traffic Safety and Child Passenger Safety community in an effort to improve the safety of children in the Western New York area. A recongized 501(c)(3) corporation, SafeWNY operates as a non-profit, charitable organization that depends on the contributions of the local business community, as well as the donations received from supporters of the program.
